    Platform only offers: FR-4 (Full Glass Fiber), Aluminum Base.
    For others like: ROGERS, Copper Base, Special Process/Materials, please contact our sales representative.

  • Product Type

    Based on your product category: We will provide you with the specified board material. If you have special material requirements, please note them in the order remarks.

  • Layers

    Number of copper layers in the PCB, currently supports up to 10 layers.

  • Dimensions

    PCB size refers to the length and width of the board for delivery.

    Board quantity refers to the number of boards you need to customize. If the board size is for panelized dimensions, the board quantity should correspond to the panel count (SET quantity).

  • Different Design

    Panel count refers to the number of different boards in the same file, which incurs a panelization fee. If it's the same board panelized, no panelization fee is charged. Panelization includes: stamp holes, slots, V-cuts, and direct milling in the middle of the PCB.

PCB Manufacturing Process

  • PCB Thickness

    Using aviation-grade materials, with "finished PCB thickness" as the benchmark. For PCB thickness ≥1.0mm, the tolerance is +/-10%; for PCB thickness <1.0mm, the tolerance is +/-0.1mm. 0.8~1.6mm is the standard thickness range. Exceeding this range will increase the price. The specific price is subject to the order details, and customers can choose accordingly.

  • Solder Mask

    Solder mask color refers to the appearance color of the PCB. Starwise Electronics currently offers multiple color options. Refer to the process capability page for details. The conventional mainstream color is green.

  • Silkscreen

    Character color refers to the appearance color of the silkscreen symbols.

  • Surface Finish

    Surface finish refers to the treatment of exposed copper on the PCB surface. Currently, multiple options are available. Refer to the process capability page for details. The conventional mainstream is HASL (Hot Air Solder Leveling).

  • Via Covering

    Solder mask coverage refers to the area covered by the solder resist. This point needs to be emphasized as it often causes disputes. Starwise Electronics currently offers: (1) Via tenting (covering vias with solder mask) (2) Via opening (exposing vias) (Note: When customers provide Gerber files, we will process according to the files) (Engineers should define the via types when designing with PCB software).

  • Test Method

    Testing method: Currently, all samples are tested with full AOI + flying probe free testing service to ensure quality. For batch orders, it is recommended to use a test fixture.

  • Copper Weight

    The conventional copper thickness is 1oz (35um). We offer multiple unconventional options. Refer to the process capability page for details (The thicker the copper, the higher the price).

  • Half Hole

    Half-hole process means that one half of the hole requires copper, and the other half does not. Making this type of board requires an additional drilling process compared to normal boards, drilling away the copper on one side.

  • Impedance

    Impedance parameter description: In circuits with resistance, inductance, and capacitance, the opposition to the current is called impedance, measured in ohms. Currently, it is mainly divided into differential impedance and single-ended impedance, primarily based on the designer's requirements for signal reception. For impedance boards, the files provided by the customer should include location and impedance requirements.
